It has changed 3xs: February 3, February 10 now pushed back to March 3. So frustrating to the ones that try to get an early start. Ughhhh
Sorry for the frustration @MontyB.
Thanks but It's no fault of turbo tax. I understand that it's the IRS.
Form 8839 will be available 3/3/2022.
Why is the delay necessary for an annual form?
Simple fix. Since TT can’t get it together, use a different software. They aren’t the only game in town. We are using a different program and will likely continue using it from here on out.
This really is not acceptable. Turbo Tax should be on top of things; especially with updates!
Turbo Tax has to format the form once the IRS and state makes the forms available from their end. You can monitor the forms availability by clicking here.
March 3 is the newest release date. It’s been pushed back twice already.
Actually, it is Turbo Tax. The new form is out but just not loaded in Turbo Tax.
Form 8839, Qualified Adoption Expenses for tax year 2021 is estimated to be finalized and available in TurboTax soon. Please see the TurboTax FAQ here for dates and availability.
The form is ready, I checked the IRS website. Why do we have to wait so long for you guys to upload or copy it? I
Turbo Tax has to format the form within our systems since it is ready from the IRS site. You can view the forms availability date within Turbo Tax here @jennyontheblah.
