If you are using the TurboTax online editions, try this to file the federal return -
If you want to e-file your federal tax return now then change how you file the state return. This assumes that all of the forms and schedules included in your federal tax return are available for e-filing.
If using the TurboTax online editions click on File on the left side of the online program screen. On Step 3 of the File section click on Start or Revisit. Select the button File by Mail. Then change the filing status of the state return.
After the federal return is e-filed and accepted by the IRS you can e-file the state return when it is available for e-filing. Just use the same procedure and change the state return back to e-filing.
The latest, IDEA from Turbo tax, mail your forms & wait 11-12 months for your refunds. IRS is still buried under 7M+ 2020 forms, Anymore lighting bolt ideas?
From the MidWest, it ain't happen! TurboTax is still revolving in circles & taking your $$$$$!
Finally, a 5 minute update this am. But, now, by March 3...... Stringing us along. I have this image of gleeful puppet masters behind the curtain........
MD update this morning, but form 8582 still a no go. Form also not listed on the TT state form site. Going elsewhere next year w my fed, state, and business returns.
I will do it today when I get off work
Just did the update for TurboTax Desktop Premier Edition today. I was told by TT rep. form would be ready today 2/24 for the state of MA, previously they told me it would be ready 2/17.
After update it now says the form will be ready on 3/3.
I cannot complete and file my MA state taxes without this form as I need this form. It seems they are just pushing it out a week at a time, hard to believe they will have it ready on 3/3 based on previous broken promises.
I was able to file/submit federal taxes, but would be nice to submit the MA state taxes as well. What is the holdup TT? No input provided from TT other than an availability date....what in the world is the holdup? Will be looking at other products for next years taxes.
When will my form be ready
It's is holding up my refund to check if the form was filled out correctly.
Yes when will it be ready for 8582
