Turbo Tax - 8621 not supported in 2022
Two years in a 2021 and 2022, Turbo Tax has indicated that it does not support 8621 form. This is forcing me to file my returns manually, which is time consuming and requiring a lot of effort.
I did not face this issue in prior years since, in spite of using Turbo Tax, I was filing my return through a professional whose software supported filing of 8621 form electronically.
It is really frustrating to see, that in spite of 8621 being around for so many years, Turbo Tax is yet to support it. I hope it realizes that it is causing a lot of pain to its customers who need to file the form - either they have to do it manually or have to pay a third-party to file the return.
I have been asking myself this question since 2021 - If I have to pay a third-party anyways, why should I purchase Turbo Tax ?
I am bringing this up now since it is quite early for 2023 tax filing so I am hoping that Turbo Tax will listen and implement the support for 8621 form in the 2023 version of Turbo Tax.
Please note that I am a customer of Turbo Tax since 1998 but it is now forcing me to look at alternatives.

@surendramuthye you may want to call Support and express that concern.
The form is not supported by Turbo Tax due to low requests for the form. What Turbo Tax is saying is that they do not beleive that going through the time and effort to support the form will generate enough additional revenue to offset the ongoing cost of supporting the form. In effect, they appreciate you will take your business elsewhere and are willing to accept a customer's decision in this case,

@NCperson thank you for your response.
It is surprising that Intuit is not willing to support 8621 form as, I am sure, there are several who have income outside of the US.
The problem of not supporting the form is that I cannot file electronically and thus have to mail my returns. This delays everything.
Is there any way I can still file electronically without having to go through a tax preparer (who will charge me extra for the same)?
You are correct, there are many taxpayers who receive various types of Foreign Income. However, they are reporting it in other ways than on Form 8621 in TurboTax; such as in the Foreign Income section.
There are several types of foreign income that can be reported in this section.
You may want to review the IRS Instructions for Form 8621 to verify that this applies to your situation, and that you are in fact, required to file this form.
