What should I do? I have filed Turbotax for the past few years and always got a confirmation email in the past, from Turbotax, saying that 1) I submitted the files and 2) IRS has accepted my tax returns.
This year (tax year 2022) I got a confirmation on the app (not via email) right after e-filing saying "Your Returns Have Been Submitted" and saying "Estimated Acceptance Date: 18 October 2023", and asking me to check if I get an email from IntuitElectronicFilingCenter. I took a screeenshot of the message.
I never got such email from IntuitElectronicFilingCenter saying that the 2022 taxes have been submitted or accepted....
When I go back to "Check E-File Status", it says I never e-filed!!
Turbotax guys are closed for the season.
Should I print all and send the tax returns by mail? THANK YOU

It depends on how the software works if you file after the deadline. The eFile system is left open for 5 days in case an eFile is rejected, but I do not know if you can successfully do an original eFile after midnight on the October 16. Others have asked that question and I have not seen an answer saying that the late eFile will work.
I think you can just wait a few days and then go to www.irs.gov/refunds and see if it is accepted. If it will not go through you will have to print and mail your return.
Your e-file might still be in "pending"---so calm down and wait for the emails. Remember---a LOT of people e-filed on the deadline date. Your return could be in pending for a few hours or a few days.
When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
MY RETURN IS IN PENDING—what does that mean?
Did you e-file? Did you click that big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?” If so, your return is now in “pending” on a server. Do not try to change anything while your return is in pending.
Watch your emails—including your spam folder—for the notice about whether your e-file has been accepted or rejected. If your return is rejected you will be able to make corrections before re-filing. If the return you e-filed is accepted you will have to wait until it has been fully processed and then amend it to fix any mistakes or omissions. It has been taking the IRS six to nine months—sometimes longer—to process amended returns. If you e-filed your state return there will be another email later that tells you if the state was accepted or rejected.
WARNING: Do not try to change anything on your return while it is pending.
Thank you. Problem is Turbotax doesnt tell me it is pending. So am in the dark… last year I got the “accepted” email on the submission date and I files on the very last day…
