I usually order some IRS forms by mail, including 1096, 198 and 1099-INT. But this year they seem to be unavailable on the IRS web site.
Does anyone know what's up with this? Is the IRS just running behind? If so, time is running out, since these forms must be submitted by February 28.
Or is it possible to submit these forms electronically with TurboTax?
Thanks for any tips!

These forms need to be mailed to the IRS, and cannot be submitted electronically through TurboTax.
You may want to contact your local IRS office to obtain the forms that you need.
Thanks for confirming that these forms need to be submitted by mail -- That's what I thought too. I appreciate the response.
I was hoping someone could tell me if these forms are actually available from the IRS at this time, perhaps sparing me a wild goose chase to the local office.
You can order the necessary forms online here and you will receive them by mail within 10 business days. The service is provided free of charge.
Thanks, MinhT1, but the reason I posted here in the first place is that none of the forms I need seem to be available at that link. Try searching for 1096, 1098 or 1099-INT -- all I get is "No forms were found that met your search criteria". You can find some forms, e.g. 1040, which tells us the site isn't completely broken. When I tried to order in mid-January, I got a message saying the forms I wanted weren't available at that time, but would be by the end of the month. Now there's nothing.
Perhaps the IRS is just backlogged, which wouldn't surprise me this year. But since the filing deadline for 1096, etc is February 28, it would be nice if they could tell us what's up. I was hoping someone here might know, and save me from waiting hours on hold, or making a wild goose chase trip to my local IRS office.

Aha! Thank you, LoganathanB. I was just able to order the forms I need via your link.
I'm still puzzled why I'm not able to order from Forms and Publications by U.S. Mail (which seems like the logical place), but all I need is one method that works.
Much appreciated!
