I am using TT for Windows. I am thinking of letting TT download data directly from my brokerage account. TT says the data will be secure while they are downloaded through my Intuit account. What happens to the data after that? Do they remain in my Intuit account afterwards? That would make me uncomfortable. Can I get them deleted from my Intuit account after the downlowad is complete?

The data that you download remains in your Intuit account, as that data is used to populate the respective 1099-B and 1099-DIV forms. Your TurboTax account is part of your Intuit account.
Thanks for this answer, but I use TT for Windows. That is, I do my taxes on my PC. I don't do my taxes online, partly because I don't like the idea of Intuit's having my financial data on its servers. (And I file by mail, for the same reason.)
TT for Windows gives me the option to download data from my brokerage account rather than typing it in myself, but it has to go through my Intuit account. So the question is, once I have the data downloaded and on my PC, can I delete it from my Intuit account? And if so, how?
Thanks.
Yes, you can request that Intuit delete your personal data from the system. Please see the TurboTax FAQ: How to access and manage your personal data from Your Account Manager for instructions.
