Mine was filed April 8 and accepted the same day but been stuck on processing since then.
still no refund and no stimulus
ive called that number that was posted on reddit and actually spoke to the irs 3 different times and each time i was given totally different information that all contradicts itself.
first rep said they weren’t processing any returns they are out of office til may 6 and possibly even longer.
second rep said they are processing returns.
first rep said you don’t have to have taxes processed to receive stimulus while the 2nd and 3rd reps both said you DO have to have taxes processed to get stimulus pmt.
and there was a ton of other info they each told me that was diff
one of the reps tried to tell me there wa no order whatsoever to how the stimulus pmts were being released (I was asking if I was in the lowest income bracket wonder why I hadn’t gotten a pmt yet) she swore that there was no order it was all random . I have read several irs and govt statements saying low income first, then paper checks, then disabled and elderly ssi , then nonfilers - she said that’s all incorrect.
so at this point I’m honestly thinking none of them even at the irs know what’s going on based upon the sheer number of wrong information I’ve been given. the 2nd rep even tried convincing me that because my taxes were accepted but not processed that I should fill out the nonfiler tool and go ahead and get my stimulus that way. I told her it says in BOLD PRINT do not fill out the nonfiler if you have filed 2018 or 2019 taxes. 🙄
if they work there and don’t have any answers I’m sure there’s no hope for the rest of us down here depending on them. It’s sad
im a single mom I’ve been out of work for a month and a half now, since March 25
with no income, no unemployment, $0 in my bank acct , no stimulus and no tax refund
while being told to stay indoors and just basically deal with it - I’m about to lose my cool!
andy nobody seems to care or have any answers!
