What does “ready to mail” mean? And when will my information be mailed?

Are you seeing a status of "ready to mail" when you look in the Tax Home of your account?

If so, that means TurboTax thinks you are going to file by printing, signing, dating, and mailing the return.    If you haven't actually physically done that, then it has not been filed.  TurboTax does NOT mail it for you.

Why are you planning to mail it instead of efiling?  Normally efiling is better and faster.

Is that how you wish to file it?  Or do you want to change the method and efile it?   If so, we can tell you how to go back in, change the filing method, and efile it.   Report back if that's what you want to do.
