Unemployment tax relief qualifies me for the EIC

I already filed my return in February. The new unemployment tax relief credit will make me qualify for the EIC. Do I need to file an amended return to get this? I haven’t received my refund yet. Do I have to wait until that happens?

You will have to file an amended return to claim the EIC if you didn't claim it on your original return. I recommend you wait until you have received your refund to file your amended return.
