I received two refunds for federal taxes in 2020 due to filing early. My question for an expert . I read the comment from other people on here. Much appreciated… Still no direct answer from tax expert. I have not filed a written amendment for my state because not sure where I get the paper form.. Do I need to add in the two refunds for 2021 fed income tax and is there a line for doing that on the form for 2021

No, federal tax refunds are not taxable by the state.
On the other hand, if you receive a state refund and took an itemized tax deduction that included your state taxes paid, then you would include that on your federal return.
I do not have any itemized items for either fed or state.. Just confused on do I add fed tax refund which I received then when feds fixed it I got another refund with adjusted amt because I qualified for the 10,200 deductions on 2020 taxes.
When you received your federal refund, if there was any interest earned, the interest would be reportable on your tax return. The federal refund itself is not included on your tax forms. The IRS will send a 1099-INT if you have interest income to be reported. It may not have shown up yet.
