TurboTax had me submit return with errors

Hi I was originally supposed to get my tax return on March 23rd and I still have yet to receive it I was wondering how TurboTax let me file my return when there was a error made on it I paid for the max and due to the error it had me fill out unnecessary forms and I got a letter from the IRS.
