Never would have believed the resolution could be the answer. Changed to 800X600 and was able to activate.

I have spent hours ..deleted ..reinstalled.. changed to 800x 600.. changed to 100%.. nothing has worked.. this is a new computer.. any other ideas

Sorry you're having so much trouble. I assume you're using Windows 10. You can try other screen resolutions, if you wish. You've already tried 800x600, so you could start working upwards to see if one will work.

I have no idea. But if you can't use a solution in this user forum, what other choice do you have?
Maybe they have a different suggestion.
The more people they know of with a problem, the more likely it is that they might try to fix it.
Reading this chat forum it has been a problem for 4 months.. everyone who calls gets no where..turbo tax is brutal..no fix for this...terrible just terrible

Sorry you are having trouble. Many people are able to solve it with a lower screen resolution or scaling. So why it didn't work for you, I don't know. If you don't wish to speak to the folks at TurboTax, keep watching the thread and maybe someone else will add on with another suggestion or an anecdote of what they did to solve it.

Turbo tax is terrible
I had the same issue. Spent over an hour with customer support who pointed to MS as the issue. MS was no help AT ALL!! Finally corrected problem with the display change suggestion of 600x800. This needs to be done in computer settings not within the TurboTax program. Once I made the change I was able to register & move forward without issue. Hope this helps.
After spending an hour trying to open TurboTax 2020 Premier unsuccessfully, then another 45 minutes on the phone with a fairly clueless TurboTax customer support person, I resorted to this "solution." It worked immediately and turned a terrible day into a good one. I strongly recommend this approach. I would never have gone there initially, but the desperation level was high enough that I was willing to try anything. All I can say is that it worked for me, too.
