Turbo tax is saying my 2021 return is an amended return....It is NOT--please help--how do I fix this. Please don't tell me I need to start from scratch--this is a bug in the software

You did not read my post--I did not ask Turbo Tax to amend my return and did not have an option to cancel the amended return. Moreover, although I did delete the 1040x, I did not know which other forms are created when an amended return is created and which ones are deleted. To simply instruct me to delete and replace stuff I'm unfamiliar with defeats the purpose of buying software to do my taxes. The least you could do is to list the forms that need to be deleted and the ones that need to be replaced. BTW, I talked with an 'expert' after I called your hotline and was told I needed to start from scratch--create a new return with a different file name... Why is it that experts like yourself don't listen to the questions being posted--I never asked to AMEND the return BUT the program behaved as if I had. Your answer assumes you do not believe what I say!!!
