TT Online is telling me my company has withheld too much social security tax based on W2. My company has withheld the maximum amount $9,932.40, which is correct for 2023 (I believe) based on my earnings. TT is telling me they've withheld 0.40 cents too much (which makes me think this is an error in the software). For avoidance of doubt, my earnings were significantly beyond the SS contribution cap - so this isn't my company making marginal error of 40 cents in their calcs.
TT is telling me I shouldn't file until I get a W2-c. Again, I believe TT is incorrect, but am I safe to assume TT won't prevent me filing because it thinks I've paid too much SS tax and need to add a W2-C?

You are correct. You can file your tax return and ignore the $0.40 issue because your employer withheld Exactly the right amount of Social Security taxes. This is a TurboTax glitch that will not affect your filing.
