I'm not surprised. TT was a big fail this year, to the point where I'm wondering what to do with my shares of Inuit. If this is indicative of their future products and customer service, it's time to part company.
Please see What if I can't import my 1099? for instructions. Additionally, please keep in mind that if you are entering a Document ID it is case sensitive. So, if the Document ID is listed in all caps, you will want to enter it in all caps.

I am using Premier version on the desktop. I am not unable to import the 1099 from TDAMERITRADE.
TurboTax has an issue.
Please resolve the issue otherwise I am definitely switching to one of your competitors.

You have to remove the spaces.
For me, it wasn't account for the cost basis because of "W" Wash Sales. I posted before, but ended up selecting the option to put the summary, then the W sales. Came out exactly. You do need the PDF of the 1099 and it will ask you to upload / attach it.
No spaces were used. The import does not work and displays an error message.
Issue remains unresolved even after the telephone call with Support. :(
I didn't have any wash sales so that wasn't a factor for me. Bottom line for me was a $10k difference going with another online tax service, lower cost for filing my taxes and it was right the first time. I know that Intuit's customer service is abysmal since they didn't respond to any of my issues and failed to correct a glaring problem for over two months. I have 9 months to re-evaluate my relationship with TurboTax. I probably won't be back next year.
The problem is the Turbotax software will not take the 11 digit Document ID that TD Ameritrade requires. Every time you enter the 11 digit document ID, a message box comes up:
Following fields have limits
Document ID (11 characters, e.g. A12B3456CD7): Please enter the 11-character Document ID without spaces from your Form 1099 (top right corner).
