Hi,

You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Paper filing ? Make an extra print copy or photocopy for your own records.
Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing ( or mailing).
You will need it if you are audited by the IRS, or to amend if a TurboTax update changes your return or for any other reason.
AND, to find your AGI next year.
we need the Tax transcripts given y the IRS after filing the taxes.
You can get them free of cost here: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
my question is how long it might take to get these transcripts, please
For a paper-filed 2019 tax return send in this year...a wild guess would be 2-9 months before they even look at your paper tax return to get it into their computers.
A lot may depend on where your mail-filed tax return is in their stack. The IRS manual entry staff is a fraction of normal during this pandemic. Those mailed in Feb would be processed and in their computers months before any mail-filed in July...since they appear to be processing in-order of their receipt. ( You did personally put it in the mail yourself didn't you? )
So if you do need a transcript as proof of filing 2019 for any reason, it won't be available until it is actually entered into their computers .

"To protect the public and employees, and in compliance with orders of local health authorities around the country, certain IRS services such as live assistance on telephones, processing paper tax returns and responding to correspondence continue to be extremely limited."
To submit to another agency. USCIS, they require it.
Well since you did not efile the return (thus getting an efiling postmark) you are in for a long long wait. I am sure they understand the IRS delays this year due to the Covid situation. I suggest you check once a week until you get the desired information. https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
