Tax return rejected to accepted timeframe

My tax return was rejected last Friday for a minor error that I fixed within an hour same day. It’s still saying “pending” when can I expect an update on if or when it will be accepted?

The official IRS date for starting to accept 2025 federal tax returns is 01/26/2026

Fixing the rejected return and re-filing quickly did not put you in the front of the line again.   You are at the back of the line---waiting in "pending" with all the others who filed early and are  waiting for the IRS to open on January 26.

Gotcha! I just have multiple friends who said they filed this week and got accepted so was just curious!

Any update? The same thing happened to me, rejected on the 26th, refiled 30 minutes later after fixing the minor error. I’m wondering the same thing about when to expect accepted status.

Finally was accepted last Friday! So took a full week!
