I mailed my Federal and State returns at my local Post Office almost two weeks ago and certified both.
Post Office tracking indicates both arrived at the destination city as scheduled but have not actually been delivered. Efforts to resolve the matter with the Post Office have been unsuccessful.
My concern in both cases is that I was applying refunds to first-quarter estimated tax payments for the current year.
What would be the best course of action to take at this stage?
Thanks in advance.
