stuck in loop: "Let’s finish pulling in your investment income"

I'm using 2024 Premier. when I try to enter information for stock trades, Turbotax takes me back to the Income/Dividends window and displays the message: "Let’s finish pulling in your investment income".  I have entered all of my interest/dividend income.

how do I get to the page to enter 1099-B capital gains information? I tried going to Forms, Sch.D, but it won't let me enter any numbers.

To enter an investment sale -

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Under Investment Income
On Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other, click the start or update button

Or enter investment sales in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to investment sales

Using the online editions -

On the screen Did you have investment income in 2024? click on Yes

On the screen Let's import your tax info click on Enter a different way

On the screen OK, let's start with one investment type, select Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds and Continue

On the screen Tell us more about this sale enter a Name and Continue

On the following screen select the type of investment sale on the dropdown What type of investment did you sell?

Continue with this section until it completes.

I figured out how to enter 1099-B data. From the "Let’s finish pulling in your investment income" select Add Investments. then you can select "Stocks, Bonds, etc" to enter Stock sales.

I am having the same issue. I have used turbo tax for 20 plus years and this year the program is terrible. Frustrating

I hate this "Let's.............".  You pick one to and the list goes back to the top, then you have to scroll down to the one you opicked.

I hate all of it. Aslo a many decades user.

In TurboTax Premium Online, interest, dividends, cryptocurrency and stock transactions may all be initiated through the same screen.  This can be confusing to some.

Report these transactions by following these steps:

  1. Down the left side of the screen, click Federal.
  2. Down the left side of the screen, click Wages & Income.
  3. Click the down arrow to the right of Investments and Savings.
  4. Click to the right of Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other (1099-B).
  5. Click Add investments.
  6. On the Let's import your tax info screen, select Enter a different way.

At this screen, you may select interest, dividends, stock sales or cryptocurrency.  The transactions my be imported, entered on a One by one basis or entered as summary information.
