Stimulus check

We recently just finished our taxes During filing our taxes.  Turbo mentioned a 4000 dollar stimulus money. Our amount went from 3000 to 7000 but it mentioned it needs to verify if we are owed that money.  Can you please tell me what that was about and how will I know if we are approved for it.

The third stimulus is part of the 2021 tax return. TurboTax will figure out what your stimulus payment should have been and then ask you if that's what you got.

People who got a payment usually received a letter from the IRS showing their payment amount.

If you receive less than you were entitled to, the extra gets added to your refund. If you put in the wrong amount, the IRS will lower your refund. This will delay processing your return.

To check your stimulus info:

1. Type stimulus in Search in the upper right
2. Click jump to stimulus
3. Say YES or NO to It looks like you qualified for the stimulus, did you get any payments?
4. If you said YES TurboTax will show you the check amounts you were supposed to get.
5. If that's correct say YES. If not say NO.
6. If you say NO, enter the actual payment amounts you received.
