@bernardjain2011 , i feel the same way too! worried that software update on 3/31/22 wont really fix the issue and now Im stuck not knowing how to submit this California return.

Turbotax is such a disaster. I've been a loyal customer for > 5 years, and their behavior has absolutely no excuse.
Hi @29Ar3d10 , I also see a blank description on CA 540 8(z), but the numeric value displays correctly. I have the same situation as you - my 8(z) is a negative value from the federal returns. Did you do any special trick, or does it just fill the description automatically on 540?

@jarvisAgreed. I've used TurboTax since 2015. I've never had issues like this, and it seems a lot of us are wondering how things have gone downhill so quickly. I'm also thinking this might be my last TurboTax year...which is really too bad. It's been great for me up to this point, but I'll be looking hard at alternatives from now on. I guess we'll see what the 31st brings. Best of luck!
My state return was bounced by Georgia. If you ever reach a human that can talk about how TurboTax screws up state returns, please let me know. i won't be using TurboTax next year since their programs don't match the states' program and they don't have a real "Contact Me". Georgia processed my return but with a refund $500 less than my "guaranteed accurate" TurboTax version. By the way if you want a laugh and have an hour to kill, try to read the terms of that guarantee!
Good for you if TurboTax finally figured out that their software is screwed up!!!!!

This is BS! You won't ever get to where you can talk to anybody and, if you do, they will sell you tax support when what we all need is technical support because their software doesn't work!!!
Maybe you could get your developers to fix the Georgia tax program too. It's also an AGI problem.
I received the updates to Turbo Tax late last night, I deleted my California return and had TT generate a new one. I filed it around midnight and it was accepted around 1a. Problem solved!
I am going to try this and greatly appreciate that we can actually interface with a human rather than just scan hundreds of irrelevant questions and answers. Your Georgia tax program is broken. My return had multiple errors including on Form 500, Schedule 1 where your program calculated that for Line 17, the smaller of Line 15 ($83,705) and Line 16 ($65,000) equaled $423. "Guaranteed accuracy"? I checked and rechecked the return that TurboTax validated but obviously the program is all screwed up and needs to be fixed before Georgia and other states(?) reject as many returns as California.
Updated the software this morning and filed CA tax again, and it was accepted after 1 hour.
