I'm using the latest updated Turbotax Premier to file my CA state tax. In my federal returns, I entered a value and description in item 8 (z) "Other income. List type and amount."
However, the description is NOT shown on my CA 540 form 8(z), but the value is displayed correctly. My federal form looks fine. My state tax return got rejected due to this blank, which is clearly a software bug. Has anyone else had the problem? Can the dev team please fix this ASAP?

YES!
This is bogus.
Fix on 3/25, and then my return was rejected again.
Now they say fix on 3/31.
Can't believe that a supposedly major company like this is dropping the ball like this.
Two Thumbs down, and won't be using Turbotax any longer. (Have used it since the 1990's!)
The issues seems fixed with 3/31/2022 turbo tax , I can efile CA state with 3/31/2022 sw update
If you are still having issues with this, please follow the instructions here to manually update the software and refile.
Is there a fix for this bug yet? I had the same error - could not get a description to show on Form 540 Part 1 Line 8z (needs to say "COBRA PREMIUM ASSISTANCE"). I tried overwriting the form and the underlying worksheet with no luck. I was able to transmit the return, but don't know if California will accept it. According to TT, I have the latest software: Program Updates 4/13/22, California 3/30/22, Program Updates 4/6/22. Thanks!
Update: My California return was accepted despite the missing description on Line 8z.
