Me and my son gets survivor benefits on out 1099 form we get seperately that is our only source of income
Do we combine our benefits? on our 1099 it sees the limit is 25000 if I will combine both our benefits in the future it might exceed to 25000?

No. You do not include your sons SS on your return or in calculations to determine if you need to file a return. If you both ONLY have income from social security, then you likely do not need to file a return.
But, you would ONLY include your OWN income in the calculations.

thank you so much for your input its very helpful may i have a follow up query on SSA income limit I think for 2024 its 23000 does it include the total benefits i get annually or its other income if ever in the future I will get a job? thanks
