If Box 5 on a 1099-R is blank, there should be no issue, UNLESS you are entering a 1099-R in the Social Security 1099 section.
If that is the case (the entries are very close to one another in the program)
Go to
- Wages & Income
- Retirement Plans and Social Security
If you have a 1099-R, first look at
"Social Security (SSA-1099, RRR-1099)" and make sure the 1099-R was not entered there
If it is there, please delete it (use the trashcan)
Next go just below/after that to
"IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)" and see if it is entered there.
If not, please enter it
