Roth IRA and Spousal Roth IRA

I'm retired and have no W2 income for 2020.  My wife works occasionally on an as needed basis and had $1,907 of W2 income in 2020.  Turbo Tax recommended that we our 2020 tax burden can be reduced by making a $1,907 contribution to my wife's traditional IRA.  I have two questions. 1.) The 2020 contribution can be made to a Roth IRA, is that correct? 2.) Can I also make a spousal IRA contribution to a Roth IRA for the same amount for a total of $3,814?

Roth IRA and Spousal Roth IRA

1)Yes, you can make a contribution to the Roth IRA if your income doesn't exceed the limit. Please see 2020 - Amount of Roth IRA Contributions You Can Make for 2020 for details. Please be aware that Roth IRA contributions are not deductible and will not lower your tax burden.

2)No, if your total taxable compensation for 2020 was $1,907 then you can only contribute $1,907 between you and your wife.

"The total of your combined contributions can’t be more than the taxable compensation reported on your joint return. See the Kay Bailey Hutchison Spousal IRA Limit in Publication 590-A." (IRS IRA Contribution Limits)
