Roth IRA and Spousal Roth IRA
I'm retired and have no W2 income for 2020. My wife works occasionally on an as needed basis and had $1,907 of W2 income in 2020. Turbo Tax recommended that we our 2020 tax burden can be reduced by making a $1,907 contribution to my wife's traditional IRA. I have two questions. 1.) The 2020 contribution can be made to a Roth IRA, is that correct? 2.) Can I also make a spousal IRA contribution to a Roth IRA for the same amount for a total of $3,814?
