Returns with K-1 Forms have to be mailed to Pennsylvania - Unless TT Premier has changed, I cannot e-file a Pennsylvania Tax Return. Can't this be worked out with Pennsylvania as it is a great waste of time, paper, and postage?? PLEASE!!!!

Yes, Bquinn09, I am using the CD/Download version of TurboTax Premier.

When you say you are using the online version, is that the free online version?  If so, and the problem remains, it may be worth your while to purchase the download version - I have found, somewhat surprisingly, that Amazon seems to have the lowest prices on these.

By the way, you can also find the PA Schedule J on the PA.gov tax forms website - for free!

Again, good luck!

Thanks for your reply.  I’m using the paid online version of TurboTax Premier.  I’ve used the CD/Download edition in the past, and found it more user-friendly.  I may go back.

Looking on Amazon is a good tip!

I went into Forms, PA return and chose RK-1 Partnership Worksheet. Right below the address is the Question "Is this information from a Pennsylvania RK-1/NRK-1 (not a Federal K-1).  The form said N but I went into the dropdown box and changed it to Y.

When I did that, I ran Review again and now it is allowing me to file PA electronically.

Wow this is great given I have 5 K1’s and will save me from printing and mailing to PA state. Thank you so much for this reply

Great!  But was it accepted by Pennsylvania?

I'm not sure this is the first time using this option and Turbo Tax let me do it. Last year I printed them out and mailed them in. I don't see why it wouldn't work. We will see.

OK, but now you've lied on your PA return because the information did come from a federal K-1 and not a PA RK-1/NRK-1. Unless you received a PA RK-1/NRK-1 and used it to complete your state return, you have lied on the return. The only reason it let you submit electronically is because you falsely indicated that you completed the return using a PA RK-1. Or did I misunderstand and you actually had a PA RK-1/NRK-1?
