Rental expenses

Enter all income/expenses for your rental home in the Rental and Royalty section. Type 'schedule e' in the search box, then select the 'jump to' link to begin.

Rental expenses

I entered all our expenses in the rental & royalty section, but then when I reviewed my tax return it had empty blanks on schedule c. Do I double enter items, or ????

thanks, Brenda

The rental income and expenses should appear on schedule E. If you have a schedule C for self-employment income showing on your tax return in error, you can delete it as follows:

1. Find the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar and click on it

2. Click on Tools

3. Find Delete a Form and click on it

4. Look for Sch C in the list of forms and click on the option to delete it
