1099-R recipient zip is invalid for electronic filing
Does your 1099-R have a foreign address for the recipient? If so, a foreign address has to be entered a special way.
If it's a USA address, sometimes TurboTax will say there is a "zip code" problem when it's actually something else wrong with the address, such as city, state, street address, etc. One common mistake is entering the wrong state abbreviation, such as mistyping AL,AR,AK, AZ or MO,MA,ME, MI, etc., or misspelling the city.
If it's a US address, check the address and zip code using this tool at the USPS website. The tool will show the official USPS styling for the address.
No, I have a US address, but I went to the form and it was reporting $0.00, it must’ve been auto-created when I imported, but I was able to delete the form, solved. TurboTax needs to fix this glitch though because it directed me to the zip code instead which was valid.
Thank you.
