Yes all income needs to be reported

If you are not reporting this as Self-employment, enter it as Other Income

By the way,  the $600 min is for a 1099NEC for self employment.  You have to report all your self employment or 1099NEC no matter how small and if under the 1040 requirement.  If you were an employee you would get a W2 for any amount, even a small amount like $2.  Did they take any deductions out of your pay?

If they didn't report it on a W2 then you were self employed for it and you have to report it and pay self employment tax on it.  The SE tax is to pay the SS & Medicare that wasn't taken out like on a W2.
