I will switch to windows or use other tax software
Same issue here. Wouldn't surprise me if Intuit doesn't have some back door deal with Apple to force people to upgrade hardware.
The current issue, now, is neither TurboTax, or H&R Block have committed to having an Apple silicon version of their software. The current versions available for 2024, will no longer run as soon as macOS 28 comes out in less than two years. Neither has said there will be a Mac version for the 2027 tax year.
