I made off our taxes from 2023 and while the payment was still processing they decided to reduce our 2024 refund to pay it off as well. I can’t seem to get ahold of anyone at the irs. Will they automatically refund me my payment and how long will it take?

Yes, they will refund you if you have overpaid your taxes. The IRS website states it that You should receive a refund check in 4-6 weeks, as long as you don't owe other tax or debts we're required to collect.

Is there anyway to keep track of it or see the status? Or will I just have to be patient and wait the 4-6 weeks @LindaS5247
