I applied for an 90 day OPA. What payment option do I check when I file?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Choose Mail a Check - then you don't need to enter any dates. You can check on your IRS payment plan through the IRS website. You can also make tax payments for your plan directly through the IRS payments site.
I assume an OPA is an online payment agreement. That payment agreement is not with TurboTax but the IRS. If so you can check that you have an OPA and do not make any payments when filing unless your OPA is setup for an initial payment when filing.
You can just choose not to make any payments with filing the return and skip that part. You will follow the payments arrangements from the OPA.
Yes, I applied for an online payment agreement through the IRS. Unfortunately OPA is not an option. These are the options -
Withdraw from bank with direct debit
Charge a credit card
Mail a check
Request installment payment plan - but that takes you to fill out a different form for monthly payments.
Can I choose direct debit and then when it asks for the date, put in the 90 day date I received from the IRS? I just don't want them to reject my return because of the date.
Thank you

Do I still need to mail form 1040-v if I choose pay by check but pay electronically through irs via opa
