Try this -

Restart your computer as there may be Windows updates which need to be installed.  The TurboTax program will not behave normally if there are updates waiting to be installed.

Thanks!  This worked quickly.  I searched and searched for a fix and contacted TurboTax to no avail - hopefully, others see your resolve first before spending any time looking for the fix.

I was able to resolve this issue by running TurboTax as an Administrator.

1. Find the TurboTax.exe file. Mine was located at “C:\Program Files (x86)\TurboTax\Deluxe 2020\32bit”
2. Right-click the TurboTax icon or setup icon and select Properties.
3. In the Compatibility tab, check the Run as Administrator box and select OK.
4. The run TurboTax

This resolved my issues.

.net verification tool not found.

Don't bother wasting time trying to "fix" this by re-installing .NET, etc. this is a very old BUG in their software, it will report that regardless on many systems that are perfectly fine, see this thread:

with a very simple workaround that bypasses that bug. As expected, they will not fix nor reply/admit
