Same. I updated my personal account information last week early Wednesday morning on the IRS portal and still waiting with the same message from the beginning. "My information has been updated and will provide a direct deposit date when available" BUT when will it be available???? So idk, its frustrating.

Is there anyone I can call and talk to w Turbo Tax? Anyone..Where is my stimulus....I don't have any money..and I need to get a hold of anyone. Can anyone please help me......

I did speak with an IRS agent this afternoon (as posted in another thread), and he politely made it clear that they do not have any access to the stimulus payment system; all they can do is refer you to the automated line. Others have posted the same response; I genuinely don't think there's anything they can do to help, and I'm unaware of ANY live help being available for the stimulus system at all.  Nothing left to do but wait and see at this point.

Hi Patrick. Could you please give me the number of the IRS so I can call them? I have other questions to ask them about my refund and I think I have been dialing wrong number. IF you could please give me that info and what to punch in to get a live person...that would mean so much to me...…… I really appreciate your help////

So do you think its Turbo Tax that never submitted our info to them and that's what its delayed?  I don't understand...………..

I filed my taxes jointly with my spouse, she received her SSN back in 2018 but i have been using her ITIN still to file our taxes. Do we still qualify for the stimulus package?

All the stories about the stimulus check talk about getting your stimulus automatically if you had your 2018 or 2019 tax refund automatically.  But they do not address the fact that if you OWED money both years and paid directly from your checking account, the IRS will not use that account number and routing number to deposit your stimulus check.  I read this on the IRS FAQ page.  I wish the stories would address this issue.  When I go to the IRS "Get My Payment" web page and fill out the form, it always comes back "Payment Status Not Available" and does not give me an option to supply my bank account number and routing number.  How many people are in this situation?

Same boat here, I pay my taxes with credit card. Find the website useless

Wow. Really? Have used TurboTax for years; always have refund direct-deposited. This tax year (2019) we had to pay a small amount - with, of course, payment to be taken out of our account. We've been wondering why we haven't received our (inflationary) stimulus "gift" yet. Finally checked with irs.gov - and then verified our direct-deposit info on our TurboTax return. Well, since we owed tax this time (and used our checking account to pay via e-file), TurboTax opted to check a "no" box with regard to having any "refund" direct-deposited (...again, we weren't getting one this year). Did the software check "no" by default - behind the scenes - since a payment was due?! So now, instead of already having our stimulus relief, we won't see a physical check until the latter part of JUNE?! Gee thanks, TT!

Well that was wrong and it is going to hurt you now ... you will not get the stimulus check NOW  for her however you will have the chance to do the right thing on the 2020 return and get the missing amount THEN.

DO NOT try to amend the 2019 return for this issue ... it will not work.

You need to notify the IRS, so it can combine all of your tax records under one identification number. This is from IRS website:

What do I do when I am assigned a social security number (SSN)?

Once you receive a SSN, you must use that number for tax purposes and discontinue using your ITIN.  It is improper to use both the ITIN and the SSN assigned to the same person to file tax returns.

It is your responsibility to notify the IRS so we can combine all of your tax records under one identification number.  If you do not notify the IRS when you are assigned a SSN, you may not receive credit for all wages paid and taxes withheld which could reduce the amount of any refund due.

You can visit a local IRS office or write a letter explaining that you have now been assigned a SSN and want your tax records combined.  Include your complete name, mailing address, and ITIN along with a copy of your social security card and a copy of the CP 565, Notice of ITIN Assignment, if available.  The IRS will void the ITIN and associate all prior tax information filed under the ITIN with the SSN.  Send your letter to:

My call to Turbo Tax was a waste of time.  There's a mistake made somewhere, and its real easy to hide behind a semi-competent government bureaucracy for the SNAFU.  And it is infinitely easier than leveling with paying customers that TT might has had some role in that miscommunication.

But in the end, what difference does it make?  I don't have my stimulus money and I don't have any clearer guidance as to when I could expect it.  And the 1st is just one week away!
