The software will not accept my checking the box stating I do not have a form w-2. It keeps going back to no boxes checked and I cant' get out of this screen.

Use your left menu to leave that spot by clicking on Federal. You can then return to Wages & Income.
By going back into Jobs (W-2), you will need to delete any Form W-2 that was inadvertently started.
Here are the steps:
I have this same problem, but i don't see how to follow your instructions to delete any inadvertent W-2s (there are none for this year)
Can you please tell me how do i select "Federal"? (I am using Home and Business; is it different?)
I also looked under Forms and did not see a W-2 listed.. I'm perplexed!
When i change the button on the screen "Lets start with your W-2" to the button to "I dont have any W-2s" and move on; the program reverts to "Work on my W-2 now".......and the error persists.
Thank you for your help,
"Can you please tell me how do i select "Federal"? (I am using Home and Business; is it different?) "
Yes, Home & Business is laid out differently. Instead of clicking on Federal, click on Personal Income.
"When i change the button on the screen "Lets start with your W-2" to the button to "I dont have any W-2s" and move on; the program reverts to "Work on my W-2 now".."
Hmmn, this works OK for me, but who knows what else is in your return or mine.
Have you tried checking Skip W-2s for now? That may have a better result.
