Tax Year Prior to 2020: My wife don’t have W-2 cause she is unemployed

If your wife is unemployed and does not have any income, you do not need to enter anything for her in the software, you can enter in her name, social security number and other personal details but skip the income section for her.  If asked if your wife had any income for 2019 you can simply click no.

You should still file a Joint return even if she doesn't have any income.  Add her under My Info as the spouse but  don't enter any income for her.
