My stimulus check is wrong. What now?

Hi there I received a direct deposit of $1,200 today. I was expecting $2,200.

$1200 for the house and $500 for each child I claimed. Am I correct in saying this?

I have a 12 year old and 4 year old that I claim, but only got $1700.

I believe my amount is incorrect as well. Today I received $1,769.60 in stimulus payment. My adjusted gross income on my filed 2019 tax return is $202,608.00. I am married and filed jointly. 
I have 4 children that live with us: 13,11 and twin 5 year olds. All these meet the criteria for $500 each. 
I was expecting $2,000 ($500 for each dependent).  
I was not expecting anything else due to our adjusted gross income level exceeding the $198K threshold. 
We are very fortunate to make the money we do and we don’t need a stimulus payment to pay the bills. And we feel bad for everyone that is impacted by this pandemic and then received the incorrect amount. I am personally worried how the IRS is coming up with all these numbers and how it will affect us when we file our 2020 tax return.

My fiancé filed claiming himself and all the kids. 1 child is his biological so he marked him as “son” the other 4 are my children and he marked them as “other” since we aren’t married yet. We got the stimulus today and they only gave him $1700 enough for him and 1 child even though we have 5 children living here. 

(I filed mine as single with no dependents because I only work part time) But we are all one household.

I only received $140.60. I should have received $1200.00. What do I do with $140.....this is awful.

The other children are non-relatives on his tax return and are not eligible for the Child Tax Credit.  Therefore not eligible for the $500 stimulus credit.

The calculated my amount as well and it is not correct based on adjust gross income   I received a very odd amount and do not think it includes the $500 for either one of my kids who are dependents. .

I thought I was in the same boat but I actually just misunderstood AGI. My AGI for 2019 (in my taxes filed /accepted months ago ) was much lower than my 2018 AGI, but apparently the standard deduction is applied TO the AGI, it is not part of the calculation in defining AGI.

I had a child in June of 2019 and only Received $1,700 for myself and older child. I claimed both on my taxes, so i don’t understand how this got screwed up!!

Well ... get married in 2020 then you will get the rest of the credit on the 2020 return for the kids that are yours and not his.

Following this post because I am In the same boat. I have one child and he’s 1yrs old. I only got $1200 and I should’ve gotten $1700.

I think that’s the issue. We are within (actually below) the income threshold with one qualifying child and only received $2400 when it should have been $2900.

My stimulus amount is wrong. I filed with TurboTax but was required to mail the return it was mailed March 15. I think they used my higher 2018 return. I just retired in 2019
