I have 2 children ages 14 and 10 so that qualifies me with my income to receive the $1200 for myself and then $500 for each child. Today when my check hit the bank I was not paid for 1 of my children. why was I shorted $500 and how can I get what I am owed?
From what I read, if your dependent is over 17, even if you claimed them, they don't qualify. I have an 18 year old still in high school and didn't receive money for her.
Here is the link from Forbes stating they must be under 17: https://www.forbes.com/sites/zackfriedman/2020/04/13/stim[product key removed]thing-need-know/#48fb2...
e-filed and have the same problem
Yep, we are a married couple, under the limit with 3 dependents under 17, ages 2,7 and 10.
We got a 1,745 deposit today, it doesn't even make sense that's essentially 1 of us and 1 child plus $45.
Very bizarre.
Wish there was a way to report the error.
My stimulus check came today for $128.
Did they use my 2018 tax return (over $75k in income), or my 2019 tax return (less than $75K income)?
Any suggestions on a fix for this?
If your dependent is 17 or older, regardless if you claimed them as a dependent, you will NOT receive stimulus money for them.
Same here
We got our check for $2900. We are married and have a four year old. But we also had another baby born in December 2019. We should have gotten 2400 + 1000 for our two kids, right???
I also did not receive for all my children I did have to put in for amendment on my taxes but I still regardless have 3 children and received for only 1 and there is no way to contact anyone from IRS and it looks like there is alot of us in the same situation everyone is getting riped off what they were promised

https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payment-information-center
For security reasons, the IRS plans to mail a letter about the economic impact payment to the taxpayer’s last known address within 15 days after the payment is paid. The letter will provide information on how the payment was made and how to report any failure to receive the payment.
I filed with 3 young kids I only got 1200 what do I need to do
I didn't either if u figure out how to get it message me [email address removed] I had 3 young kids on mine
By wrong, I mean I am a single working person who according to the Turbo tax calculator should have received 1200 and I received 696. It’s wrong.
I only got 2400 for filing jointly but didnt get the 500 for my child that we've had since 2016
I'm a single restaurant server. My taxes are filed and I should've gotten the full amount of $1200 but I received only $229. Is there even anyone to call about this? What can be done?
