I opened this topic on Tuesday when this happened to me. Since then, Ohio has deposited my refund into my bank account. All is well, in spite of the Local School District (SD-100) rejection. I also heard from a neighbor that they had used the ohio.gov site and ran into problems, though I don't know the details. Consequently, I think that the email and "rejected" indicator shown in TurboTax are actually due to a problem which is outside the control of TurboTax. Perhaps Ohio is responding to the e-filing with an unexpected error code.
UPDATE: Per a suggestion on the Community... I had the same issue as stated in the Subject Title... as suggested, I did search on my PC Windows on how to Clear Cache (temporary files), initiated that task, and restarted the PC. I then went to the TurboTax login screen and proceeded to click through the "Fix my problem" and the issue was resolved. I was able to re-transmit the "School SD-100" form alone. I will keep you updated as it moves through the State of Ohio system. 🙂
TurboTax is aware. That glitch is actually a user error. You don't have to file that form if you don't owe any money. You wont get a refund from it, so its best to delete it and e-file your OH state tax form alone.
Ohip Dept. of Taxation (ODT) Published this today;
School District Income Tax Update
ODT has redesigned the SD 100, School District Income Tax Return. Beginning in tax year 2023, all school district tax liabilities, payments, and withholding are reported on one return. In January 2024, ODT updated lines 33 through 36 of the SD 100 return and instructions. The updated SD 100 return and instructions are available at tax.ohio.gov/forms.
I have been dealing with this since I got my first email on Tuesday. It is so frustrating. I wish I could just fix the issue and refile but nothing happens and I have been on the phone with two different people.
I tried this and it didn't work. 😔
This is not really solved because TurboTax keeps sending messages like this one which I just received this morning while offering the still-useless "Fix my return" button:
"CRITICAL REMINDER: Your tax return needs to be corrected and re-filed"
I'm confused by it, and I'm certain others are too.
Got the same problem OH-PIT-009... Turbo tax needs to fix this so we can get our taxes done! This year's software has had the MOST problems I have ever run into, that along with VERY long printing times
I have done this and it has not worked.
TT says this was fixed with an update over the weekend.

Thank you. I talked to someone and I got an unusual answer but it seems like my problem is fixed.
So I cleared my cache and deleted my cookies and now when I log in to TurboTax the “rejected” message is gone and there is no more “fix my return” button. So you would think all is well. BUT I logged into my Ohio Tax Department account and it shows as though my school district return was never filed. They have no record of it. Since I live in a taxable district and owe taxes, this will cause problems. I verified and double checked I did file an SD-100 through TurboTax. If TurboTax can’t figure it out I will have to file separately through the state website, which is annoying since I paid TurboTax for their services. I will add that the state did receive my STATE return and I received that refund. It seems the issue is only the SCHOOL DISTRICT return.
When will this problem be fixed? I do live in a district that has a 1% income tax so I do need to file. I would prefer to e-file this tax especially since I already paid to e-file my state taxes.
Can you confirm your reject code?
