Yes I received it on march 16th but I never saw an update on its.gov as a matter of fact it’s still saying it was sent to my bank on march 1st
On current it would show that they tried to deposit it and then it would have a line crossed through it that’s what they did with mine
Did you ever receive your check and how long did it take
No I have not. Direct deposit was March 9, 2022 and it is now March 25, 2022. We filed on February 13, 2022. Our transcript is weekly, it just updated today and now it only says “Additional account action pending.” Refund was canceled on March 21, 2022, then says Notice issued for March 28, 2022. The “Additional account pending date is April 11, 2022. Going by my transcript with those dates. This really sucks.
My account info was correct but the bank failed to notify me of some verification when I initially called about. So it was returned. I did have my fees deducted to should I reach out to turbo tax?
You need to contact Santa Barbra Tax Group. They are the bank that takes the fees for turbo tax
How long did it take your checked to be mailed
No, we didn’t get it: We got a letter last Saturday saying another 8-10 weeks for mailed check.
Good luck on that one man. I work in back office of the biggest bank in the world. I work primarily in Fraud, AML, FIU, and Risk and Compliance Analysis. So... This can be a sticky situation so mind your p's and q's. Ill explain.
The bank technically can keep the money. This is because your refund that the IRS issued you is unfortunately not a protected payment. Means, the IRS can ask for the money back from the RDFI, but the RDFI can tell the IRS to buzz off. They cant enforce any actions on the bank. With that being said the bank can then hold your funds as long as they want if they want to decide to have your account "in closure status" or "under investigations" which unfortunately when you signed your depository account agreement, you gave them permission to do this, since it would be solely their deicions on what happens with your account.
NOW THIS IS THE BIG ONE! It can possibly save you, but if you've been a jerk to the bank, or maybe were a bad money manager they didn't like, a few banks would be able to get around it. You need to call within 60 days of the day you got your last statement of the account. You need to ask to file a "NON FRAUD CLAIM". When they ask for what, you should say nothing except that you received that ACH information from the IRS that you ACH WAS deposited on that date. And you request that within 30 days of the closing of the account, those funds be sent to you immediately. What will happen is the bank then has to bear the burden of proof, that they closed your account BEFORE that ACH "SETTLED".
Ok, sorry this is long. But, now when I say settled I mean the bank received the batch payment. Not just the pre depository file. This is going to I would say give you a 70% shot at getting it sooner. If they deny your claim, you immediately put in writing and fax them a copy of a request for the information used to deny the claim. That will ensure they are not strong arming you.
After you get all that info, you go ahead and forward it all to the Federal Oversight of your institution. (OCC, STATE DEPT OF BANKING, ATTORNEY GENERAL... WHOEVER YOU CAN GET TO MAKE SOME NOISE). Because at this point you'll have 100% chance of getting it back. WHY? Because by you filing that claim, and then making the bank provide you that data, they basically just told on themselves that they are holding your money and being jerks. And no Federal oversight will put up with that crap.
So I recommend you don't sit on it and wait to start that, I would have recommended you started it a month ago. But, yes long story short. If I didnt give you a way out lol. You would have to file a civil suit against your bank and bear your own burden of proof that they have your money. Which would take forever..
Cheers Guys
Did u receive it yet , how long did it take the irs to mail a check ?
How long did it take for them to send the paper check
When the bank rejects the return it will be sent back to the IRS. As soon as the IRS receives it, they will send a check in the mail which can take 7-14 days for you to receive. @92vet
My go2 bank ( green dot) that turbo suggested rejected my refund for it being a joint return account only in my name so after the reject they hold it and print a check to Santa Barbara tax group (sbtg) who is also green dot who then prints another check and sends to IRS who then sends it to me SBTG IS A SCAM YOU CAN NOT GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM GO 2 BANK THEY CANT TELL YOU NOTHING RIGHT ALONG WITH TURBO I AM SO DISAPPOINTED WITH YALL I WONT BE USING YALL EVER AGAIN THEY CANT EVEN HIVE ME INFO ON MY 2020 TAXES I FILED BUT IT SAID ACCEPTED VIA TURBO BUT GIVING I DIDNT SIGN THE 2 DISCLOSURES and it's still not having record of it makes be believe it didn't get to them I have filed reports with NMLS FDIC FBI DEPT TREASURY'S DEPT FISCAL and today I am calling the news stations where each business is located and their city halls and prosecutor offices already spoke with 3 class action lawyers something will be done why can't anyone at turbo reach out to their business partners on behalf of their customers or to the IRS i honest don't see why we even pay for your services it's not like you really offer any type of anything other than guided tax prep
How do you know ?
you forgot about the BBB. but it is a problem of your own making asking for direct deposit into an invalid account. since the iRS sends the refund electronically to the bank, the rejection would have resulted in an electronic return to the IRS - no paper checks. then the IRS has to get around to printing a paper check which is then mailed to the address on your return. this can take many weeks. you might want to call your bank as to how to deposit a check made out to both of you to an account that's in only one of your names.
