MICHIGAN STATE TAX RETURN STILL PENDING

I E-Filed my taxes on February 13th. I received my Federal return within a few weeks but still waiting on my Michigan State return. I filed forms MI-1040 and MI-1040CR. I contacted them and they stated my return was randomly selected for a manual review. Any ideas what is holding it up and how long it will take to receive my return? I haven't received any correspondence via email or postal mail from them.

No, but I think you can believe the state of Michigan when they say you have been selected for a random manual review. 

The IRS and all state agencies select a small number of returns for additional review each year. Since you have been selected, you will have to wait for them to complete their review.

The only thing you can do to speed up the process is to provide any additional information that they ask for as quickly as you can. It's possible they won't ask for anything.

This happened to me too. Never before. Is benn nearly 3 months since it was pulled.
