Please reinstate It's Deductible this saves me a tremendous amount of time since I do taxes for my family and the manual process is labor intensive.
Please reconsider this decision.

Not going to happen at this point. Use Google to search for an ItsDeductible alternative.
This is the reply I got from the Office of the President if Intuit. Not very encouraging. They said they recognize our concerns but it looks like they are being dismissive of the harm they are doing to us.
Hello Dan,
I am reaching out from TurboTax Customer Care on behalf of Intuit’s Office of the President. I am one of the specialized agents assigned to assist you. Thank you for taking the time to speak with me today. I am glad we were able to discuss your concerns in detail.
As a recap of our conversation, we reviewed the discontinuation of the Its Deductible product and the frustration this has caused, particularly given your need to track multiple charitable contribution transactions and prepare for upcoming tax law changes. I acknowledged your feedback and confirmed that your concerns will be escalated to Intuit leadership for visibility and review. At this time, I advised that there is no alternative deductible tracking solution currently available. You also shared that, due to this change, you are considering using a different tax preparer that continues to offer a similar feature.
If you need assistance in the future, please contact TurboTax Customer Support at [phone number removed]. Since your concerns have been addressed and documented, we will proceed with closing your case.
Thank you for being a valued TurboTax customer.
Respectfully,
Shonda J

They don't care. They're almost certainly saving money by not expending the resources it takes to continue supporting ItsDeductible.
Disappointed to learn this today. Wish I had known that before wasting money. I suppose I will be discontinuing use of Turbotax. Seems no one really cares about what customers want anymore.

Wasting money on what? ItsDeductible was a free program, and the other DIY tax prep programs cost money.
Below is the reply I received from Inuit's Office of the President. They mentioned our concerns but were unwilling to do anything. Not a nice way to treat their customers. It seems that they are dismissive and disinterested in doing anything. I think that there are many customers like me who relied on ItsDeductible and are now left high and dry.

There are alternatives to ItsDeductible being developed by third parties.
[not sure how people who used a free program (ItsDeductible) consider themselves "customers"]
We are customers because we bought TurboTax

Yes, TurboTax, which does NOT include ItsDeductible.
About itsdeductible not being included in TT. I have been a paying customer of TT for well over a decade, to do my taxes. During that time the intuit product has always been referenced to and downloadable to TT. Use of it was optional but it was, in my option, part of TT. You may split hairs if you wish but I was a customer.
I understand, but you paid for TurboTax while ItsDeductible was free (and there were apparently many who used ItsDeductible but did not use TurboTax).
Do you have any idea how many people used ItsDeductible as a free standing program vis-a-vis those who used it as part of TurboTax. I believe that most people who were tracking their charitable donations would be using it as part of TurboTax.
@user17591775237 wrote:Do you have any idea how many people used ItsDeductible as a free standing program...
Yes......not enough. If the vast majority of people who used TurboTax were also using ItsDeductible, it would still be available.
@user17591775237 @M-MTax on a conversation with customer care team last year I was told that only 100k people were using ItsDeductible - out of a return/user base of about ~40mil - hence the decision to discontinue it. Presumably majority were paying, we don't know - a few people have posted here they were using it for free - but either way, apparently Turbotax didn't view it worth continuing this service even as incentive to keep users.
