In searching the internet, I read that Quick Employer Forms was free. I watched the video and decided to use it. I am a Trustee for my son's Special Needs Trust and pay one Aide who helps him and I need to file a W-2. I was happy because it was a free service. Yet, when I logged on with my Intuit account, it wanted me to pay over $300. So is the info about it being free outdated? If so, I will go thru the free IRS W-2/W-3 submission site.
Thank you.

It is free if used through your TurboTax return/account. If using TurboTax Desktop or TurboTax Online Premium you will have access to Quick Employer Forms. Be sure to download an save all of your statements so that you have them later should you need them.
I have Turbotax Deluxe and am not finding it there. It appears that Turbotax Home and Business Desktop might be required?
Thank you.
Yes you need the Desktop Home & Business program or the separate Business program or the Online Premium version to get QEF. If you have the Desktop Deluxe you can upgrade to Home & Business right inside the program and only pay the difference in price. I think it might be up under Help or Online.
You may want to create an online account with the Social Security Admin and file the W-2 form you needed:
