As I posted already, after a mandatory TT update my data file for 2022 with 15 hours of work has disappeared. Your customer service acknowledge it was due to the update and that there was no way to get the file back
Where did the turbo tax updates move ALL of my tax files? From 2014 to 2021.
I don't understand why TurboTax can't reverse the updates or correct the problem.
I was told that TurboTax doesn't delete files.

That happened to be several years back. Try searching your trash file for those files. That's where I found mine. It took awhile to find them too.` I finally open the trash folder, then did a search and they came up. Once you find your files and restore them, you might consider keeping a 2nd file on a jump drive or in the cloud.

A Spotlight search on your Mac will not find items located in your Trash folder. Open your Trash and do a search from within that folder. If you need assistance with this, our phone support team may be able to help, as they have tools to see your computer screen. @jcrystal

Been there, done that. First thing I did was look in Trash. Next thing was to contact support but that took forever to get to speak to a real person. All they had to say was it was a problem with the update and nothing could be done to get back the missing file
If the file was not saved prior to updating, the file would be gone.
It would need to be started from the beginning to file the return. @jcrystal
What you say is true except:
-the program should autosave...and i believe it does
-I have opened/closed 2 dozen times without issue and saved along the way. Older versions should then have been accessible after the faulty update, but are not - all are gone
