Come back and try again on the 27th. Go thru the full IN interview Q&A again then.
Of course it's a software issue....there's a couple other things that need correcting for Indiana...so they stop the e-filing until it gets corrected.
I got a similar error email last night. Hopefully they fix it soon. I logged in this morning and the error isn't even showing like the email said it would be. Mine says the county rate is not correct based on the county where the taxpayer reside/work.
I got the same error as well, but when I revisit state it just gives me the option to re-file. I dont know where this "program" is I need to update.
I’m having problems finding the “program” as well. This is becoming extremely inconvenient
There was an update for Indiana today. Please run through the state interview again and try to e-file.
just ran through the same exact steps over again today after the so-called update was applied and they just rejected it yet again.
What county are you in in Indiana?
"Indiana denied tax return " Was this a rejection when you attempted to e-file? Was there any other error message?
I’m in Johnson county
How infuriating. How many times will it allow us to refill before we have to send it through the mail.
Johnson county INGEN-007-02
Did you also get the error message "the county rate is not correct based on the county where the taxpayer reside/work"?
I ran a test return this afternoon, and the tax rate for a resident of Johnson County was "0.0125000", which is correct according to the second page of Schedule TC-40.
Is it possible that you lived in more than one county? Is there perhaps some other out-of-the-box situation on your returns?
No. I’m boring I’ve lived in the same county (and town) for 40 years I should venture out more lol
I don't mean to be tedious, but did you get an error message, "the county rate is not correct based on the county where the taxpayer reside/work"
Yes that is the error message I get.
