Income from another states

I'm just starting my taxes and in the personal information process. The question being asked "Did either of you make money in any other states?" 
My wife just received an inheritance (money) from the will of her uncle in IA and we live in MN. Do I check the box for "Yes we made money in other states then MN"? Her uncle's farm was sold and nieces and nephews were beneficiaries of the will.

will the estate be issuing K-1's  to the benficiaries reporting the income or has the estate paid the tax and is distributing the remaining proceeds. It matters and you need to find out.
