Did they deduct anything?  Like Social Security and Medicare or state taxes?  Are you asking about 2021 or this year 2022?  Ask your employer if you will get a W2 or 1099NEC.

If you are an employee who gets a W-2, your employer is required to withhold federal tax based on the Form W-4 that you gave them. If they are withholding Social Security and Medicare tax, but not federal income tax, you might want to review your W-4. You can use the Tax Withholding Estimator on the IRS web site.

(On your pay stub, Social Security or Medicare tax might be called FICA.)

If you get a 1099-NEC, you are not an employee. You are an independent contractor. The company that pays you is your customer, not your employer. Payments to an independent contractor normally do not have any taxes withheld.

These rules are the same no matter what state you work in.

@Mthiam1392 - or, is your income low enough that the employer is not required to withhold, based on the withholding tables that the IRS publishes to employers (in other words, if your income was higher, you'd see the withholdings) 

did you ask the payroll department why there is no withholdings????
