I don't have the number either. I think that is just to directly transfer the information from the bank. I just say skip and then I can enter into the amount manually.
Entering manually is not an option for large 1099's with hundreds of transaction. Merrill and Turbotax need to get their act together. Users need information, not message board speculation.
Here's How to Enter a Summary in Lieu of Individual Transactions.
The IRS already has a copy of your 1099-B. In TurboTax Online, you can drag/drop a PDF copy of your 1099-B into your return.

What type of 1099 are you trying to import? What financial institution? If you can't choose 'Skip' on this page, here's How to Enter a 1099-DIV and How to Enter 1099-INT.
This number is being asked for by your financial institution; check your account settings there to be sure you have 'third party access' enabled.
my brokerage Merrill lynch has no knowledge of a 24 digit tracking number. I spent hours on the phone with intuit turbo tax support and got no result other than "I guess you will have to enter the information manually". Up until this year turbotax never required this 24 digit number.
something has changed at turbotax and they don't acknowledge it. For me the software is useless without the ability to import financial information from my brokers.
Totally Agree!
TurboTax should give a refund for a garbage App
i know how to enter manually. you are missing the point. I bought turbo tax for the downloadability.
