If you paid real estate taxes but are not itemizing deductions, do not enter your real estate taxes here. Enter them as excess real estate taxes later.

Hello, we are finalizing our taxes.  Using TT Home & Business Desktop.  There was a message that stated, "If you paid real estate taxes but are not itemizing deductions, do not enter your real estate taxes here. Enter them as excess real estate taxes later."

1) We can't find where this message was, so I am not sure if we entered them or not.

2) We are not itemizing, so where do we enter the Excess Real Estate Taxes?

Thank you,

I found the answer.  The question appears in the Business section, in the Home Office Expense....after the message above, another screen appears asking about Excess Real Estate Taxes.
